Rice Krispie Treats with Chocolate Chunks

You can't hate these pictures ... you are not a real American if you don't fall weak in the face of Rice Krispie Treats ... especially with Chocolate Chunks !!!  ... if you do you might be considered a Terrorist !!! You will love them even more at 98 calories, 6.25g carbs and 8g protein per generous piece.  Feel like a kid again and enjoy Rice Krispie Treats every single day !!!  ;)

Ingredients~
2 Quest Vanilla Almond Bars, crumbled
5 Tablespoons 30 cal/cup Almond Milk
1 scoop Vanilla Ice Cream Whey Better Protein Powder
Dash Cinnamon
Dash Vanilla
Spray Butter
1 packet Truvia/Stevia
3 cups Kashi Puffed Grains
Lily's Chocolate Bar with Stevia, 1/2 the bar or 20 grams, chopped  ( Chocolate made with STEVIA, SUGAR FREE CHOCOLATE with GREAT FLAVOR ... WWWHHHAAA .... Eureka !!!   Comes in Chips too!!!  Found at Natural Grocers on Rock Road in Wichita or online.  There are several flavors of Bars but only plain Chocolate in the chips that I could see. )

Heat oven to 425 and spread Kashi Cereal on Aluminum covered pan and spray with Spray Butter and sprinkle with Tuvia, mix well and bake for 5 minutes or until golden brown.  Meanwhile, melt 2 Quest Bar chunks with 4 Tablespoons of milk for one minute, stir and re heat for 30 second increments til fully melted, stirring after each cooking session til smooth.  Stir in Protein Powder, remaining Tablespoon Milk, Cinnamon and Vanilla.  Then add cereal and coat completely and pour in Pam Butter Sprayed 8X8 or 9X9. Sprinkle top with chopped Lilly's Chocolate Bar and pat down lightly.  Chill and cut into 9 pieces.  Again, I'm afraid the Krisp does not stay super Krispie like regular Treats, but I gotta tell ya ... the flavor well makes up for it !!! OUTTA this world delicious and you will definitely want a second one !!!  Thank you to Andrea at www.proteincakery.com for suggesting roasting the Cereal in attempts to increase the "Crisp".  Check out her blog or follow her on Facebook and look for her exciting new recipes every week !!!  She oozes with healthy creativity!!!  Enjoy  ;)
